Netflix has officially announced that its fantasy series 'The Witcher' will come to an end with its fifth season.

Henry Cavill will not be in the role of Geralt of Rivia for the first time starting this season. Liam Hemsworth will take over the lead role in the new season.

In the released video, Hemsworth joins other cast members for the fourth season's table read. The video, filmed during the table read, features Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, Freya Allan as Ciri, and Joey Batey as Jaskier.

NEW NAMES JOIN THE CAST

The fourth and fifth seasons will focus on the final three books of the series: 'Baptism of Fire', 'The Tower of Swallows', and 'The Lady of the Lake'.

New additions to the series' cast include Laurence Fishburne as the barber-surgeon Regis, Sharlto Copley as the bounty hunter Leo Bonhart, and Danny Woodburn as the dwarf Zoltan.

Since the production process has only just begun, the fourth season is not expected to be released earlier than the second half of 2025.
