This week's releases at Paribu Cineverse: 7 new films from horror to animation meet moviegoers

Paribu Cineverse will bring 7 new productions from different genres to moviegoers in its weekly release program starting Friday, August 21. The program includes domestic and foreign films in the horror, thriller, drama, and animation genres.

This week's highlights include Insidious: The Further, Gerçek Kayıtlar: Vaka 7, Cesur Denizciler: Okyanus Macerası, The Invitation, Evcil Kahramanlar, Fırtına Ekip Yollarda, and Tempus. The weekly screening schedule can be followed via the Paribu Cineverse mobile application and website.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE RELEASES

Directed by Jacob Chase, Insidious: The Further tells the story of Gemma, a young mother raising her daughter in the house where she grew up, as she is dragged into a dark exploration reaching into the limbo realm of lost souls at the center of the Insidious universe. Gemma realizes she possesses a talent that could shift the balance against the malevolent force pursuing her.

The domestic horror film Gerçek Kayıtlar: Vaka 7 bears the signature of Burak Küçük. The film focuses on the story of Dr. Meltem Taşkıran, a neuro-criminology expert who tracks the same word whispered by her patients during moments of crisis. When Meltem hears the same word from her grandmother, she takes her camera and returns to the village where she was born.

The animated film Cesur Denizciler: Okyanus Macerası follows the adventure of Lydia, who sets out on a flying ship to find her missing brother. Acting alongside the young sailor Lucas and her cute friend Critter, Lydia discovers the importance of friendship and courage throughout the journey.

Directed by Olivia Wilde, The Invitation depicts two couples who come together for dinner and are dragged into a tense confrontation over relationships and boundaries. The film stars Seth Rogen, Olivia Wilde, Edward Norton, and Penelope Cruz.

Among the other animations of the week, Evcil Kahramanlar brings to the screen the journey home of Gracie, a show dog, and Pedro, a stray cat, who fall far from their homes during a move. The domestic animation Fırtına Ekip Yollarda, written and directed by Feyzullah Taş, tells the road story of a colorful team trying to reach a missing father, filled with absurd dangers.

Tempus, which is also in the program, is listed among the productions that will meet the audience in the week of August 21.
