Scorpions took the stage in Istanbul as part of their tour celebrating the 40th anniversary of their "Love at First Sting" album.
The band, meeting their fans after an 8-year hiatus with the organization of Epifoni, contributions from Yüzdeyüz Müzik, and media sponsorship by STAR TV, opened the concert with the song "Coming Home".
THEY GREETED THE AUDIENCE IN TURKISH
Greeting their fans at the concert with the words "Teşekkürler. Nasılsınız?" (Thank you. How are you?), the band's lead singer Klaus Meine said, "We are very happy to be with you in Istanbul after all these years. Tonight, we will celebrate the 40th anniversary of our legendary album Love at First Sting together."
Stating that they have played most of the songs on the album many times throughout their long career, Meine performed the band's beloved tracks.
The entire audience accompanied the band on their classic songs "Send me An Angel" and "Wind of Change".
With the intense applause of the audience, who completely filled the venue with a capacity of approximately 12 thousand people, Scorpions concluded the concert with the songs "Still Loving You" and "Rock You Like A Hurricane".
The band, which announced a second concert in Istanbul due to high demand, will perform again on the same stage tomorrow night.
