According to the decision published in the Official Gazette, screenwriter and producer Birol Güven has been appointed to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism's General Directorate of Cinema.
WHO IS BIROL GÜVEN?
Birol Güven was born on May 1, 1964, in Kocaeli.
After graduating from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Education, Department of Linguistics, Birol Güven worked as a teacher for a short time and later worked as a tour operator in the tourism sector.
He began to pursue his hobby of storytelling, which he had continued throughout his student and professional life, professionally in 1997.
By founding the company MinT Motion Pictures, he produced over 50 TV projects totaling more than 2,000 episodes with his screenwriting team.
Güven served as the producer of many famous TV series such as 'Kaygısızlar', 'Ayrılsak da Beraberiz', 'Çocuklar Duymasın' and 'En Son Babalar Duyar'.
He also stepped into the cinema sector with films such as "Bayrampaşa: Ben Fazla Kalmayacağım", "Dersimiz: Atatürk", "Mandıra Filozofu" and "Mandıra Filozofu İstanbul".
The film "Güzel Günler Göreceğiz", which he co-produced, won the Best Film Award at the 2011 Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival.
