A temporary ban on swimming has been imposed on some beaches in Tekirdağ and Kırklareli. In the decisions announced by the Tekirdağ Governorship and the Vize District Governorship, the reason for the bans was cited as adverse weather and sea conditions.

Due to the effect of the northeasterly wind in Tekirdağ, swimming was banned for Tuesday, September 8, 2026, throughout the Süleymanpaşa district and on the beach of the Sultanköy neighborhood in the Marmaraereğlisi district.

In the statement from the Governorship, it was stated, "Due to adverse weather and sea conditions, in order to prevent drowning in the water, swimming has been banned for 1 day on Tuesday, 08.09.2026, within the borders of our Süleymanpaşa district and on the beach of the Sultanköy neighborhood in our Marmaraereğlisi district."

A similar decision was taken in the Vize district of Kırklareli. The Vize District Governorship announced that swimming on all beaches in the district is banned for 1 day on September 8, 2026.

Authorities emphasized that the decisions were taken for the purpose of life safety and the prevention of drowning incidents.
