10 people had been detained: New arrest in the Gülistan Doku investigation

Three of the 10 suspects detained in the 5th wave of operations in the Gülistan Doku investigation have been referred to the courthouse. Police diver Gürkan Gürdal was arrested, while two suspects were released under judicial control conditions.

Three of the suspects detained as part of the Gülistan Doku investigation, conducted by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices of Tunceli and Erzurum, have been referred to the Erzurum Courthouse.

A total of 10 suspects were detained in the 5th wave of operations carried out as part of the investigation. The three suspects, whose procedures at the police and gendarmerie units were completed, were brought to the courthouse following a health check.

It was reported that the interrogation of the suspects at the courthouse is ongoing. The procedures for the other 7 individuals detained as part of the operation continue at the police and gendarmerie.

POLICE DIVER GÜRKAN GÜRDAL ARRESTED

Following their statements at the prosecutor's office, police diver Gürkan Gürdal, who was referred to the court with a request for arrest, was jailed, while A.K. and V.İ. were released under judicial control conditions. The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has appealed the judicial control decision granted to the two police divers.

The procedures for the other 7 suspects are ongoing.

With this, the number of detainees in the investigations conducted by the Erzurum and Tunceli Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices has risen to 29.

In the operation, A.K., who served as the Acting Tunceli Provincial Gendarmerie Commander and Deputy Provincial Gendarmerie Regiment Commander between July 2017 and July 2019, his wife B.H.K., police divers A.K., G.G., and V.İ., the children of security guard Fatih Ö., who was previously arrested as part of the investigation, D.Ö., S.Ö., and N.M.Ö., his wife S.Ö., and P.B., who was a university student at the time, had been detained.
