It has been reported that the Özel Hayat Hospital, owned by the children of Sheikh Muhammed Kazım, one of the prominent cult leaders in Siirt, has been defrauding the Social Security Institution (SGK) of millions of liras since the coronavirus pandemic began in 2021.
According to a report by Hazar Dost from Sözcü newspaper, the Aydın family, known for their connections to many AKP politicians, strengthened their influence in the city through their cult ties. It was learned that they entered the names of their followers into the hospital system as 'inpatients,' thereby receiving money from the SGK and causing public loss.
COMPUTER SHOWS ALL BEDS FULL, BUT ONLY ONE PATIENT IN REALITY
In the footage obtained regarding the matter, it is seen that there is only one patient in the 14-bed intensive care unit, while the computer shows all beds as occupied.
A.B., who has worked for a long time at the hospital affiliated with the Naqshbandi order, explained that the Aydın family has been receiving millions of TL from the SGK using this tactic for a long time.
Explaining that although the hospital's monthly invoice is 5 million TL, they inflated it up to 10 million TL by showing people who were not hospitalized as if they were, A.B. also stated that no one in the city could intervene in the situation.
TREATMENTS WERE ALSO PERFORMED AT HOME DURING THE CORONAVIRUS PERIOD
Sources stating that the hospital has been profiting through the SGK by inflating its invoices with similar methods for years reported that during the coronavirus pandemic, patients were shown as hospitalized in the system, but were actually treated at home.
Sources claiming that the hospital affiliated with the cult has defrauded the SGK of 100 million TL since 2022 said that the irregularities were not uncovered because the provincial health directorate employees who came for inspections were also members of the cult.
COMPLAINT PETITIONS ARE NOT ACCEPTED, EMPLOYEES ARE THREATENED
Employees who went to the Siirt Provincial Health Directorate or the SGK to report the irregularities committed by the hospital stated that their petitions were not accepted, and that the hospital owner, the Aydın family, was informed of the petitions that were accepted and threatened them.
The allegation that there have been similar corruptions for years at the hospital owned by the Aydın family, who are the leaders of the cult, is known by the prominent figures of Siirt.
Local sources claim that the hospital was previously inspected by the Ministry of Health and fined due to the discrepancy between the number of beds in the hospital and the number of inpatients appearing in the system.
