12 suspects in Üsküdar coffeehouse shooting brought to courthouse
12 suspects detained in connection with a shootout at a coffeehouse in Üsküdar, which left 3 people dead and 5 injured—2 of them critically—have been transferred to the Anadolu Courthouse in Kartal.

The investigation continues into the armed clash that occurred on May 23 after approximately 40 people gathered at a coffeehouse in Üsküdar's Ünalan Neighborhood.
The processing of 12 suspects, including F.Ö., who was identified as having been involved in the incident and having used a firearm, and the coffeehouse operator C.Y., has been completed at the Public Security Branch Directorate in Gayrettepe.
The suspects were transferred to the Anadolu Courthouse in Kartal.
As one of the suspects was being escorted by police teams onto the riot police bus, he stated, "They set an ambush for us."
WHAT HAPPENED?
Following a fight that broke out between their children for reasons yet to be determined, two groups met at the coffeehouse in Ünalan Neighborhood on May 23, with the participation of family elders.
As the argument escalated, the armed clash, which began in the coffeehouse and spilled out into the street and avenue, resulted in 3 deaths and 5 injuries.
It was learned that 2 of the injured, who were taken to nearby hospitals by medical teams arriving at the scene upon notification, were in critical condition.
12 suspects were taken into custody as part of the investigation.
