6 bodies have been found in the sea in Antalya in the last 5 days.
On January 17, a head and an arm were found on the beach in the Çenger neighborhood of Manavgat, and a day later, the body of a child without the upper part of the torso was found on the beach in the Konaklı neighborhood of Alanya.
The bodies found in the sea or on the beach one after another were taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute. 12punto.com.tr has reached the details regarding the bodies.
DO THE BODIES BELONG TO MISSING MIGRANTS FROM BOATS THAT SANK IN THE MEDITERRANEAN?
Teams from the Antalya Provincial Police Department, Public Security Branch, Homicide Bureau are continuing their work regarding the bodies found. According to initial findings from the examinations, it is suspected that the individuals whose bodies were found may be among the missing from a migrant boat that sank off the coast of Libya last month.
WHAT HAPPENED?
A boat carrying 86 migrants capsized off the coast of Libya, and while 61 migrants went missing in the Mediterranean, 25 people were rescued alive.
