In an operation targeting the Fetullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) in Istanbul, 13 suspects with active arrest warrants were taken into custody.
Teams from the Istanbul Police Department's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch, in coordination with the Intelligence Branch, launched an investigation to uncover the activities of FETÖ.
An operation was carried out to apprehend the suspects, who were identified as having active arrest warrants within the scope of FETÖ investigations and were hiding in the organization's so-called "safe houses," referred to as "gaybubet evi" by the group.
During the operation, 13 suspects were apprehended, including 2 associate professors and 1 non-commissioned officer who had previously been dismissed from their professions.
The investigation determined that the suspects were "ByLock" users, held responsible positions within the organization, and played active roles in the current structure.
