142 suspects arrested in 'Narkoçelik-47' operation
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that 142 out of 150 suspects apprehended in the "Narkoçelik-47" operation, targeting those selling drugs via social media platforms, websites, and messaging applications, have been arrested.

In the “NARKOÇELİK-47” operation organized against suspected “online poison dealers” who were evaluated to be engaged in “Drug Trafficking” via Social Media Platforms:

Noting that 150 suspects evaluated to be trafficking drugs via social media platforms, websites, and messaging applications were caught, 142 of whom were arrested, while judicial control measures were imposed on 8 others, Yerlikaya emphasized that the operations will continue.
Reporting that cyber patrols identify drug dealers by monitoring keywords, symbols, and suspicious accounts on online platforms and encrypted messaging networks, Yerlikaya stated, "Our cyber patrols use artificial intelligence-supported algorithms to identify dealers operating especially on this dark web. As the Interior Ministry family, we are determined to cleanse our country of poison dealers."
Sharing footage of the operation, Yerlikaya congratulated the Offices of the Chief Public Prosecutor and the police officers who took part in the efforts.
