15,000 Lira Fine for False Reports to the 112 Emergency Call Center
Monetary fines for false reports made to the 112 Emergency Call Center are being increased. According to the new regulation, false reports that cause teams to be dispatched to the field will be subject to an administrative fine of up to 15,000 TL.

A new regulation has been brought to the agenda to prevent the thousands of false reports received by the 112 Emergency Call Center every day. According to the proposal, a fine of 1,500 lira will be imposed for false calls, and if teams are dispatched to the field, this fine will increase to up to 15,000 lira. It is stated that this decision was taken because 28 percent of the 103 million calls in 2024 and 30 percent of the 14.6 million calls in the first three months of 2025 were deemed to be false.
DETERRENT FINES ARE COMING
The AKP has submitted a 32-article legislative proposal to the Speaker of the Parliament, primarily including the regulation that increases the fines imposed for false calls made to the 112 Emergency Call Center.
According to the proposal, it is envisaged that an administrative fine of 1,500 lira will be imposed on those who occupy the call center unnecessarily, call for purposes other than its intended use, or persistently leave calls, and a fine of 15,000 lira will be imposed on those who cause teams to be dispatched to the field by making false reports.
