156 suspects apprehended: 'Street dealer' operation in Istanbul and Bursa

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya shared the details of the Narkogüç-37 Operation on his X account. Yerlikaya stated that 156 suspects were apprehended within the scope of the operations.

Yerlikaya's X post is as follows:

92 SUSPECTS IN ISTANBUL AND 64 IN BURSA APPREHENDED

"In the simultaneous operations conducted by our Istanbul Provincial Police Department's Anti-Narcotics Crimes Branch in the districts of Avcılar, Bahçelievler, Başakşehir, Bayrampaşa, Beyoğlu, Esenyurt, Eyüpsultan, Güngören, Kağıthane, Küçükçekmece, Üsküdar, Ümraniye, and Şişli, with the participation of a total of 624 personnel across 96 addresses, 92 suspects were apprehended.

In the operations conducted by our Bursa Provincial Police Department's Anti-Narcotics Crimes Branch in the Bursa city center to apprehend drug dealers assessed to be involved in the trade of narcotic or stimulant substances, 64 suspects were apprehended.

Additionally, in the operation in Bursa, 58 suspects who had final prison sentences ranging from 2 to 8 years for narcotics-related crimes were also apprehended.

In both operations, 116,500 narcotic pills, 42 kg of Bonzai (Istanbul), 2 kilograms 750 grams of Bonzai (Bursa), various amounts of Skunk, 10 kilograms 202 grams of Methamphetamine, various amounts of Cannabis, various amounts of Heroin, various amounts of Cocaine, 7 pistols, 1 automatic pistol, 3 rifles, and a large amount of foreign currency and Turkish Lira were seized."
