It has been learned that Avni Atsak, codenamed Bahoz, who was in the upper echelons of the terrorist organization PKK and had been continuing terrorist activities for a long time within the YPG-SDF in Syria, was neutralized during Operation Claw-Lock carried out in northern Iraq last year.
It was discovered that Atsak, whose death the PKK kept hidden for approximately one year, had served as a spokesperson for the youth branches of the now-defunct HADEP.
According to information obtained from security sources, Atsak was wanted on the grounds that he was among the terrorist group that carried out the attack on the Aktütün Border Outpost in Hakkari, where 17 of our soldiers were martyred. It was also determined that he served in the so-called military council of the HPG, the armed wing of the terrorist organization PKK.
