According to the statement by the Provincial Gendarmerie Command, it was determined that an open prison escapee, who has a confirmed 17-year prison sentence for theft-related crimes, was in the Tarsus district.
As a result of their investigation, JASAT teams determined that the fugitive convict was working as a shepherd in a rural area and living in a tent to hide.
Following this, the teams launched an operation and apprehended the convict in the rural area.
The convict was delivered to prison after the completion of his processing.
