17-year-old shoots his father with a handgun
In the İzmit district of Kocaeli, a 17-year-old boy shot his father with a handgun. While the wounded man was taken to the hospital, an operation was launched to capture the suspect who fled the scene.

The incident occurred on the ground floor of a 3-story building on Emirli Street in the Tavşantepe neighborhood.
According to the information obtained, an argument broke out between 17-year-old S.Ç. and his father, Burhan Ç., for an unknown reason.
As the argument escalated into a fight, S.Ç. fired a handgun at his father, Burhan Ç. While Burhan Ç. was wounded in his left leg, S.Ç. ran away from the scene.
Citizens who heard the gunshots reported the incident to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the report, health and police teams were dispatched to the address.
Burhan Ç., who received his first intervention at the scene by health teams, was taken to Kocaeli City Hospital by ambulance.
Crime scene investigation teams conducted examinations in the area and inside the house. The police have launched an operation to capture S.Ç., who fled the scene.
