19 more people added to the Antalya cable car accident investigation
The Ministry of Interior has granted permission for an investigation into 19 additional individuals regarding the cable car accident in Antalya, which resulted in 1 death, 7 injuries, and left 174 people stranded in the air for 23 hours.

Regarding the cable car accident on April 12, which resulted in 1 death and 7 injuries, an indictment was accepted by the 6th High Criminal Court of Antalya, seeking up to 27 years in prison for 12 suspects, including 5 who are currently under arrest, among them Kepez Mayor Mesut Kocagöz of the CHP.
The ongoing investigation has been expanded to include 19 additional individuals from the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality staff who were found to have been negligent in the performance of their inspection and oversight duties, and permission for their investigation has been granted.
The permission for the investigation was published on the Antalya Governor's Office website with the following statement:
"As a result of the investigation conducted by Civil Inspectors appointed by the Ministry of Interior regarding the accident that occurred on 12.04.2024 on the Tünektepe cable car line in the Konyaaltı district of Antalya, permission for investigation has been granted for 19 individuals from the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality staff who were found to have been negligent in the performance of their inspection and oversight duties, in accordance with Article 6 of Law No. 4483, and the file has been sent to the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office".
