20-year-old youth suffers armed attack in Malatya

In the Yeşilyurt district of Malatya, a 20-year-old youth sitting in a park in the evening was subjected to an armed attack by an unidentified assailant. The incident occurred at approximately 17:15 at Gül Park on Keşşaf Hoca Street in the Çukurdere Neighborhood of Yeşilyurt district.

According to allegations, the assailant approached 20-year-old S.K., who was in the park, opened fire with a handgun, and then fled the scene rapidly. The youth, who was struck in the right leg by a bullet, was taken to Malatya Training and Research Hospital after receiving initial intervention from medical teams that arrived at the scene upon notification.

Police teams found one empty shell casing and a mobile phone during their investigation at the scene. Efforts to apprehend the suspect are ongoing.
