The 2024 Central Government Budget Law Proposal has been approved by the Grand National Assembly of Turkey General Assembly

The 2024 budget proposal, which was debated in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, has been approved by majority vote.

In the TBMM General Assembly, the 2024 Central Government Budget Law Proposal and the 2022 Central Government Final Account Law Proposal were debated.

With the vote held during the 2024 budget deliberations in the session, the 2024 central government budget was approved in the TBMM.

BUDGET MARATHON HAS ENDED

In the General Assembly, the budget deliberations that began on December 11 concluded following today's final day of discussions. Following the budget deliberations, the TBMM General Assembly will continue its work for 2 more days before going into recess.

Group deputy chairmen of the political parties also took the floor to thank everyone who contributed to the preparation of the budget.

After the completion of the deliberations, the 2024 Central Government Budget Law Proposal and the 2022 Central Government Final Account Law Proposal were voted on separately and approved.

In the vote for the 2024 Central Government Budget Law Proposal, 566 votes were cast; 317 votes were in favor and 249 were against the proposal.

In the vote for the 2022 Central Government Final Account Law Proposal, 563 votes were cast; 317 votes were in favor and 246 were against the proposal. Deputy Speaker of the Assembly Bekir Bozdağ thanked everyone who contributed to the preparation of the budget individually. Bozdağ adjourned the session to reconvene tomorrow at 15:00.
