2025 service fees for public social facilities determined: Daycare centers, childcare facilities, sports facilities

The minimum fees to be paid in 2025 by those wishing to use public social facilities have been announced.

The Communiqué on Public Social Facilities, prepared by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, has been published in the 5th repeated issue of the Official Gazette.

The communiqué establishes the procedures and principles to be followed in determining the fees for meals, accommodation, and other services to be charged to those using training and recreation facilities, guesthouses, daycare centers, childcare facilities, sports facilities, and similar social and support-purpose facilities under the control of public administrations within the scope of central government, revolving fund organizations, state-owned enterprises, public banks, and other public institutions and organizations, as well as the use of the revenues generated.

Accordingly, institutional personnel who will benefit from training and recreation facilities operated by public institutions and organizations will pay a daily meal fee per person of 191 lira, 160 lira, or 125 lira, depending on the characteristics of the facility.

The accommodation fee has been set at 73 lira, 66 lira, or 58 lira, depending on the aforementioned characteristics. The agreed-upon accommodation fees will be 96 or 86 lira for the period between July 1 and August 15.

For housing units or independent sections equipped with a refrigerator and television, an additional daily fee of at least 32 lira per feature will be charged per unit, and an additional daily fee of at least 46 lira will be charged for those equipped with air conditioning.

Institutional personnel using guesthouses will pay at least 96 lira per night per person.

The accommodation fee to be charged to temporary public personnel using these facilities shall not exceed the full amount of their daily allowance with a 60 percent increase for the first 10 days of the temporary assignment, and half of their non-increased daily allowance for subsequent days; for temporary auditing personnel, the accommodation fee shall not exceed the full amount of their domestic daily allowance with a 75 percent increase.

DAYCARE AND CHILDCARE FACILITY FEES

The monthly childcare fee for each child of civil servants and other public personnel to be admitted to daycare centers and childcare facilities belonging to public institutions and organizations has been set at a minimum of 1,416 lira.

In cases where the determined minimum monthly fees are insufficient to cover the costs of daycare and childcare services, institutions and organizations are authorized to set fees above the determined amount.

SPORTS FACILITIES

For those using all types of football, basketball, and volleyball halls and fields, tennis courts, swimming pools, water and winter sports venues, or other sports facilities, including institutional personnel, a fee of at least 66 lira per person will be charged for one hour of use if the sports equipment and materials are provided by the users, and at least 96 lira per person if the sports equipment and materials are provided by the facility.

The fee for one hour of use of Turkish baths, saunas, and thermal springs has been set at a minimum of 118 lira per person.

The communiqué will enter into force on January 1.
