21 provincial chairmanships remain vacant: 'Null' administration in CHP unable to find chairs

Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and his team, who were brought to the CHP leadership through a decision of absolute nullity, have closed their doors to calls for an extraordinary convention while simultaneously accelerating the purge process within the party.

Kılıçdaroğlu, who has referred numerous figures to the disciplinary board with a demand for permanent expulsion, has also dismissed 36 provincial chairs since the day he took office. However, it has drawn attention that no appointments have been made in 21 provinces yet.

According to a report by Türkiye Gazetesi, figures close to the elected CHP Chairman Özgür Özel stated that the Kılıçdaroğlu administration is unable to find chairs. Özel's staff said, "They are making offers to dozens of people to make appointments, but no one is accepting. The Headquarters is practically experiencing a management crisis. If this process continues, they may be forced to lock the doors of the organizations."

The CHP Headquarters, on the other hand, stated that the appointments are being carried out in a planned manner and that there is no rush in the process.

Headquarters sources stated that there are many applications for provincial chairmanships in some provinces, that the candidates are being evaluated one by one, and that decisions are being made on names for which a common view has been reached.

Party staff assessed the situation by saying, "There are too many candidates. When a consensus is reached on a name among the candidates, we carry out the appointment. Our goal is not just to fill empty positions, but to appoint the right people."
