22 detained for various crimes in Van: 16 arrested
According to a statement by the Van Police Department, 16 out of 22 people detained for various crimes in operations conducted in the city have been arrested. It was revealed that among those arrested was a thief who had stolen 951 bags of coal.

As a result of the work carried out by police teams in Van, 16 out of 22 people detained for various crimes have been arrested.
In a statement made by the Van Police Department, it was noted that efforts by the Public Security Branch Directorate and District Police Directorates/Chief Offices are continuing as part of the fight against crime and criminals to ensure public order throughout the province.
The statement included the following:
“During the operations, 2 unlicensed pistols, 1 magazine, 17 cartridges, and 1 blank-firing pistol were seized. Items identified as stolen were also recovered, including 1 motorcycle, 951 bags of coal (23,775 kilograms), 5 drills, and various other materials. The seized items have been returned to their owners. 22 individuals who were wanted or subject to judicial proceedings for various crimes were apprehended, and 16 individuals with a total of 52 years of prison sentences were arrested by judicial authorities.”
