Thinking that the amount requested for these items was extraordinary, Murat Ş. sought legal recourse after making the payment.

APPLIED TO THE CONSUMER ARBITRATION COMMITTEE

Following the payment of the bill, Murat Ş. filed an application with the Kepez District Consumer Arbitration Committee. In his application, he requested a refund of the amount he paid, stating that he had been victimized by exorbitant pricing.

FINE ON THE GROUNDS OF 'NOT TAKING A RECEIPT'

In the decision from the arbitration committee, a 7,000 TL administrative fine was issued to Murat Ş. on the grounds that he "did not take a receipt." The decision also stated that the consumer's application was rejected on its merits.

In its decision, the committee stated that the pricing policy applied by the business was evaluated within the scope of free market conditions. For this reason, Murat Ş.'s request for a refund was not accepted.
