287 people referred to courthouse in operation against Bayğaralar criminal organization
In an operation conducted by the Adana Police Department against the "Bayğaralar" criminal organization across 8 provinces centered in Adana, 287 suspects, including 8 women, were referred to the courthouse following their statements.

Teams from the Adana Police Department's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch detained 287 suspects, including 8 women, in operations carried out across 8 provinces—Adana, İzmir, Mersin, Konya, Antalya, İstanbul, Şanlıurfa, and Tekirdağ—on April 13, 2026, against the "Bayğaralar" organized crime group, which was determined to have committed crimes including 'Establishing an Organization for the Purpose of Committing Crimes, Intentional Killing, Attempted Intentional Killing, Intentional Injury, Drug Trafficking, Property Damage, Violation of Law No. 6136, and Intentional Endangerment of General Security.'
In the operation, which was also joined by special operations police, the doors of the suspects' homes were broken down with battering rams to gain entry. During searches conducted by police at homes and workplaces, 1 hand grenade, 4 AK-47 automatic weapons, 2 automatic pistols, 16 pistols and 25 magazines, 2 shotguns, 1,128 cartridges, 39,733 drug pills, 72.5 grams of cannabis, 45,000 euros, and 33,735 Turkish liras were seized. Additionally, 2 workplaces and 5 vehicles, estimated to be worth approximately 50 million liras and believed to have been obtained through criminal activity, were seized.
The 287 suspects were referred to the courthouse following their interrogations at the police station.
