29.4 million TL contract signed for the renovation of 48 toilets in the Turkish Parliament
A contract worth 29 million 419 thousand TL has been signed for the renovation of 48 toilets located in the Turkish Parliament's annex buildings. Under the tender, an average expenditure of 612 thousand 500 TL is projected for each toilet.

Ahead of the new legislative year, which will begin with a special session at the Turkish Parliament on October 1, 2026, a contract worth 29 million 419 thousand TL has been signed for the renovation of 48 toilets in the annex buildings as part of ongoing refurbishment works.
According to a report by Mustafa Mert Bildircin from BirGün, the Turkish Parliament's Department of Operations and Construction held a tender on August 27 for the "renovation and repair of wet areas in annex buildings."
Twelve companies submitted bids for the tender. After invalid bids were eliminated, the number of bids taken into consideration fell to nine.
It was reported that the highest bid in the tender was 43 million 437 thousand TL, while the lowest bid was 29 million 419 thousand TL. The tender commission made its final decision on September 23, and a contract was signed with Altay Grup İnşaat on the same day.
According to calculations based on the contract price, an average expenditure of 612 thousand 500 TL is projected for each of the 48 toilets. It was stated that the renovations would be completed before the opening of the 5th Legislative Year of the 28th Term.
According to the tender file, 12 of the toilets covered by the repair and renovation work are located in the stone building, 11 in the personnel service building, four in the Ala Social Facilities, and 21 in the personnel service building that was formerly the Court of Cassation building.
