2nd commission meeting at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey concludes

The 2nd meeting of the National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission, established in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) in line with the goal of a "terror-free Turkey," has concluded. The commission will hold its third meeting on Tuesday, August 12, at 14:00 in the TBMM Ceremony Hall.
The National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission, established in the TBMM in line with the goal of a "terror-free Turkey," met for the 2nd time under the chairmanship of Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş. The Speaker's Office issued a written statement following the meeting.
The statement said, "A vote was held to ensure that the second meeting of the Commission, which began with an opening speech by our Parliament Speaker Mr. Numan Kurtulmuş, would be conducted under the principle of full confidentiality, and it was decided by unanimous vote that the Commission meeting would be held behind closed doors. Our Parliament Speaker Mr. Numan Kurtulmuş explained the procedures and principles of the closed meeting to the Commission and reminded them of the relevant provisions of the Constitution and the Rules of Procedure, as well as general practice, regarding the confidentiality of the minutes of the closed meeting. Subsequently, the Commission transitioned to a closed meeting format."

"Minister of Interior Mr. Ali Yerlikaya, Minister of National Defense Mr. Yaşar Güler, and Head of the National Intelligence Organization Mr. İbrahim Kalın, who attended the meeting by invitation, made detailed presentations to the Commission in the fields of security, defense, and intelligence, and answered questions from the Commission members. The National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission will hold its third meeting on Tuesday, August 12, at 14:00 in the TBMM Ceremony Hall to receive suggestions from its members regarding the commission's work."
