3.3 million TL wastewater fine for İSKİ
It has been determined that a portion of urban wastewater was discharged into the sea without treatment at the Ambarlı Advanced Biological Wastewater Treatment Plant in Istanbul. The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change has imposed an administrative fine of 3 million 343 thousand 688 liras on İSKİ due to this environmental violation. The Ministry announced that a criminal complaint will also be filed against those responsible.

CRIMINAL COMPLAINT TO BE FILED AGAINST THOSE RESPONSIBLE
According to the statement made by the Ministry, an inspection conducted by the Istanbul Provincial Directorate teams at the İSKİ-affiliated Ambarlı Advanced Biological Wastewater Treatment Plant as part of environmental audits revealed that a portion of urban wastewater was being discharged without undergoing treatment. An administrative fine of 3 million 343 thousand 688 liras was imposed on İSKİ in accordance with the Environmental Law.
It was stated that a criminal complaint will be filed against those responsible.
