3.5 trillion dollar meeting at Dolmabahçe

The 10th meeting of the Investment Advisory Council, chaired by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has begun in Istanbul.

President Erdoğan delivered the opening speech at the meeting, which is being held at the Dolmabahçe Working Office for the first time since 2016. Senior executives from the world's leading companies are attending the meeting. The total size of these companies reaches approximately 3.5 trillion dollars.

In addition to President Erdoğan, the meeting, which is organized with the contributions of senior executives from international companies to improve the investment climate in Turkey, is being attended by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, Head of the Presidential Strategy and Budget Directorate İbrahim Şenel, President of the Investment Office of the Presidency Ahmet Burak Dağlıoğlu, and representatives of umbrella organizations of the business world. Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek is also expected to give a presentation during the meeting.

Global giant companies from 13 countries are participating

Globally significant companies operating in sectors such as energy, automotive, technology, asset management, financial services, transportation, and telecommunications from 13 different countries are participating in the meeting.

Among these companies are giant names such as "Templeton Asset Management (asset management), Qatar Investment Authority-QIA (investment management), Vitol (energy and commodity trading), Emirates NBD (financial services), Mitsubishi Corporation (various sectors), Chery (automotive), ACWA Power (energy), MASDAR (renewable energy), and BRF (food)."

A final declaration will also be announced after the meeting

Within the framework of the meeting, international investors will share their views on investment conditions in Turkey. At the end of the meeting, a final declaration is expected to be prepared and announced in line with the consultations held with the investor companies.

As in previous Investment Advisory Council meetings, it is planned that the final declaration will be announced to the public by one of the representatives of the participating companies after this meeting.
