3 deputy mayors had been arrested: New appointment at Bolu Municipality
Following the arrest and imprisonment of 3 deputy mayors at Bolu Municipality on various charges, the vacancy in the administration has been filled with a new appointment. CHP Municipal Council Member and Civil Engineer Fırat Çıngı has been appointed as Deputy Mayor by Bolu Acting Mayor M. Tuna Özcan.

According to the decision published under the signature of Bolu Acting Mayor M. Tuna Özcan, Republican People's Party (CHP) Municipal Council Member Fırat Çıngı has been appointed as Deputy Mayor of Bolu.
The deputy mayor positions at Bolu Municipality had become vacant due to arrests occurring at different times. While Deputy Mayors Süleyman Can and Leyla Beykoz remain in custody as part of investigations into various charges, another Deputy Mayor, Sedat Gülener, is currently in prison within the scope of the case regarding the Kartalkaya fire disaster, in which 78 people lost their lives.
The new Deputy Mayor, Fırat Çıngı, was born in Van in 1979. After attending Bolu Sakarya Primary School and İzzet Baysal Anatolian High School, Çıngı graduated from Ankara Gazi Anatolian High School and completed his higher education in the Civil Engineering department at Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ). Having served as a Research Assistant at İTÜ between 2002 and 2006 while continuing his academic work, Çıngı later began working as a manager at his family company, Yeni Güney İnşaat. Having realized numerous infrastructure and superstructure projects in both the public and private sectors, particularly İzzet Baysal Foundation projects and those for the Provincial Special Administration, Çıngı is fluent in English and Spanish.
