3 executives released in Bolu Municipality investigation
Three executives who were detained following a search of the municipal building as part of an "extortion" investigation into Bolu Municipality have been released pending trial.

The "extortion" investigation, in which Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan was arrested and suspended from duty, is ongoing.
The procedures at the gendarmerie have been completed for Municipal Council member C.T., Bolu Municipality Financial Services Manager N.A., and BolSev Board of Directors Chairman A.S., who were detained following the search conducted at the municipal building as part of the investigation.
The 3 suspects, whose statements were taken at the prosecutor's office, were referred to the duty court. The court ruled for the suspects to be released pending trial.
In the operation conducted against Bolu Municipality within the scope of the investigation, 11 people, including former and current executives and council members, among them Mayor Tanju Özcan and Deputy Mayor Süleyman Can, had been detained. Özcan, who was arrested along with Süleyman Can, had been suspended from duty by the Ministry of Interior.
