3-legged lamb born, breeder blames vaccines

One of the lambs in a barn belonging to Muharrem Yalçın, a livestock breeder in Yozgat, was born with three legs. Stating that he has encountered such an incident for the first time, Yalçın attributed this situation to the incorrect vaccination policies applied to animals by the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry.

In the Mehmet Efendi Hulusi neighborhood of Yozgat, a sheep in the barn of 57-year-old livestock breeder Muharrem Yalçın gave birth to a 3-legged lamb missing its front left leg around 08:00 this morning.

Stating that he has been involved in animal husbandry for a long time, Yalçın said that they have encountered such a situation for the first time and that the births of three-legged, disabled, and dead animals in recent years have made them uneasy.

Expressing that the lamb's development is normal except for its leg, Yalçın claimed that this situation stems from the incorrect vaccination policy applied to animals by the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry.

''IT IS A PITY FOR US, WE ARE BEING VICTIMIZED''

Stating that he has been involved in livestock farming for 50 years, Yalçın said that such an incident has happened to them for the first time, adding, "My sheep gave birth to a 3-legged lamb this morning. This situation happens because of unknown vaccines. They bring the vaccines and inject them into people's animals, and then the animals are born disabled. Our Yozgat is like a testing ground; they bring unknown vaccines, inject them, and leave. Then, some people's calves die, and some people's lambs are born disabled like this. Because the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture does not even know the vaccine it is having administered. This situation is caused by the vaccine. This lamb will not grow, it will remain in our hands like this, it will perish; the animal cannot even stand up to drink milk, this lamb will die in the future. It is a pity for us, we are being victimized," he said.
