Hürriyet Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Ahmet Hakan commented on the "solution" debate, which began when MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli shook hands with DEM Party members at the opening of the new legislative year and continued with his call in Parliament on Tuesday for PKK leader Öcalan to lay down arms.
'SEEKING A SOLUTION IS THE MOST BLAMELESS ACT IN THE WORLD'
Hakan stated, "Pushing for a solution to end terrorism, seeking a solution to render terrorism ineffective... It is the most blameless act in the world. The problem does not lie here. It lies here: failing to plan the solution well, allowing the solution to be interrupted, and turning a blind eye to mistakes that would end the solution halfway," he said.
'MAY NO EVIL EYE TOUCH IT'
Hakan also commented on the CHP leader Özel's statement regarding the process with the following words:
"CHP Chairman Özgür Özel said the following:
“Under today's conditions, we could gain political advantage or votes by positioning ourselves against the government. But we want to be on the right side of history. Our votes may not increase if necessary, but in the future, it will be noted in history that the CHP stood in a good place in this brotherhood project.”
Applause. Applause. Applause.
Mr. Özgür is acting with a sense of historical responsibility.
May no evil eye touch it"
