A new regulation has been introduced for the recruitment of civil servants at the Ministry of Justice. The 35-year age limit previously required for the Ministry has been removed.

35-YEAR AGE LIMIT REMOVED

The regulation containing the changes, titled "Regulation on Amending the Regulation on Examination, Appointment, and Transfer of Ministry of Justice Civil Servants," has been published in the Official Gazette and has entered into force.

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç, in a statement regarding the regulation on his social media account, stated that they have made comprehensive changes to the regulation to make the human resources structure of the justice organization more fair, transparent, and in line with the requirements of the era.

Announcing that the 35-year age limit for civil servant recruitment has been removed with the regulation, Tunç stated that the age requirement in the Civil Servants Law No. 657 will now be taken as the basis.

INNOVATION IN MINISTRY RECRUITMENT

Explaining that physiotherapist and sign language interpreter positions have been added to the Ministry and that appointment conditions have been determined, Tunç reported that revisions have been made to the practical examination for court clerk positions to improve semantic integrity.

Tunç also stated that the 30-year age limit for the recruitment of protection and security officers has been removed, and noted the following:

"Priority rights with quotas have been introduced for graduates of relevant fields for court clerk, bailiff, prison clerk, and penal institution and protection officer positions. KPSS score types for high school, associate degree, and undergraduate levels will be evaluated independently, and no comparisons will be made between scores at different levels. Rotation provisions that were not implemented for positions subject to mandatory assignment have been repealed. Requests for voluntary relocation of personnel will be accepted at least once a year."

Minister Tunç wished for the regulation to be beneficial to the justice organization.
