36 terrorists neutralized in northern Iraq and Syria

The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) announced that 36 terrorists have been neutralized in the past week as part of operations conducted in northern Iraq and Syria. Rear Admiral Zeki Aktürk, Press and Public Relations Advisor for the Ministry, noted during a press conference the 486th anniversary of the Preveze Naval Victory and the Naval Forces Day to be celebrated on September 27, reporting that 16 ships will perform demonstrations while passing through the Bosphorus and that 13 port visits will be conducted.

Aktürk emphasized the determination of the Turkish Armed Forces in the fight against terrorism, stating that a total of 2,049 terrorists have been neutralized since January 1. During this period, it was also reported that 2 PKK terrorists, who fled from the terrorist organization's shelters, surrendered to border outposts in Başkale and Habur.

He also expressed his condolences for Infantry Contracted Private Maşallah Abakay, who was martyred during an infiltration attempt by members of the separatist terrorist organization in the Operation Claw-Lock region. Aktürk emphasized that the fight against terrorism will continue for the country's security until not a single terrorist remains.
