39 houses evacuated due to landslide in Tokat!
Landslides occurring 4 days apart in the Niksar district of Tokat have struck the village of Günebakan. While 39 houses were evacuated as a precaution, 4 houses and 1 mosque that had been evacuated for inspection collapsed overnight. Cracks have also formed on the walls of many houses and on the roads.

In the village of Günebakan, located in the Niksar district of Tokat, 39 houses were evacuated as a precaution due to a landslide.
The 4 houses and 1 mosque that had been evacuated collapsed last night. Two landslides occurred 4 days apart in the village of Günebakan in the Niksar district. Upon notification, AFAD teams arrived at the village to conduct an investigation. 39 houses were evacuated as a precaution by the district gendarmerie teams. The 4 houses and 1 mosque that were evacuated for inspection collapsed overnight. The minaret of the mosque also fell onto a house. Cracks have formed on the walls of many houses and on the roads.
Tokat Governor Numan Hatipoğlu arrived at the village and received information from AFAD officials.
Hatipoğlu stated, "Regarding the landslide that has been occurring for a few days in our Günebakan village, 39 of our houses and 1 mosque are under threat. As of now, we have closed the residences for use. Our mosque has collapsed. 3-4 more houses have collapsed. We have evacuated the houses likely to be affected. Our citizens have currently settled in using their own means, but as the state, we have mobilized for every matter. We will carry out the necessary follow-up. We have prohibited entry to the residences. Our gendarmerie and AFAD are here. We, as AFAD, are initiating efforts to mitigate the effects of this disaster."
