At the gold mine in the İliç district of Erzincan, 4 people deemed primarily at fault in the expert report regarding the landslide that occurred on February 13 have been arrested.
The 262-page expert report submitted to the investigation file concluded that the company's occupational health and safety manager S.Ç., operations chief F.Y., project coordinator Ö.A., and drilling and blasting engineer M.K. were primarily at fault; they were summoned to the courthouses in their respective provinces to provide their statements.

Following the prosecutor's interrogation, the 4 suspects were arrested. Previously, 8 suspects, including the Canadian manager I.R.G. of the company operating the gold mine, had been arrested, while 2 suspects were released under judicial control conditions.

The arrested suspects consist of individuals working in engineering, management, and administrative positions at the company.
