4-stage plan for the new resolution process revealed: The Ahmet Türk detail

Korkusuz columnist Can Coşkun wrote that the "new resolution process," which began with the İmralı visit by DEM Party members Sırrı Süreyya Önder and Pervin Buldan, is based on a four-stage plan. Coşkun also stated that Ahmet Türk, who was removed from his post as Mayor of Mardin Metropolitan Municipality and replaced by a government-appointed trustee, could be included in delegations meeting with parties and visiting İmralı, and that he could be reinstated to his post. 

According to information Coşkun based on a security source, the four-phase plan on paper is as follows:

"The meetings will be divided into four phases.

1- The start of visits by the delegation meeting with İmralı (completed)

2- Negotiations for new names to be added to the meeting delegation (ongoing)

3- The meeting schedule to proceed on a monthly basis starting from the new year (planned)

4- A framework to be drawn up at every meeting until the call for the end of terrorism (begun)"

The possibility of reinstating Ahmet Türk

In the continuation of his article, Coşkun addressed the agenda item that Ahmet Türk, who was removed from office and replaced by a trustee, could even be included in the İmralı delegation, writing:

"When I asked both AK Party and DEM Party sources, I received the same feedback:

'Even if not in the İmralı delegation, he will be included in the delegation that will hold meetings with the parties.'

It seems it has not been decided whether there will be a permanent delegation for İmralı, but Ahmet Türk will also play a role in the task of explaining the new process to the parties.

DEM sources say that Ahmet Türk will take part, especially in the meeting between the MHP and the DEM Party, due to his dialogue with Bahçeli.

Therefore, even though they say 'not for now' regarding İmralı, it seems certain that Türk will be included in the delegation that will visit the parties.

So, what about the position?

There is a significant difference, both in terms of convention and protocol, between Ahmet Türk participating in these meetings in the capacity of a Mayor and participating without any position, title, or authority.

Although Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya closed the doors by saying, 'He received a sentence of over 10 years. How will he return while this sentence exists?'...

In Turkey, sentences have been overturned suddenly before, and the doors to retrial have been opened...

What I mean is, if Ahmet Türk is reinstated, the new delegation that will 'go to İmralı' could very well change and expand."
