Eren Peker, a second-year student in the Furniture and Decoration Department at Konya Technical University, lost his life after being stabbed by individuals he had an argument with in traffic while working as a taxi driver.
The incident occurred last Sunday night around 01:30 at the traffic lights in front of the Mevlana Cultural Center in the central Karatay district. According to the information obtained, 20-year-old Eren Peker, a second-year student in the Furniture and Decoration Department of the Vocational School of Technical Sciences at Konya Technical University who worked at a taxi stand, had his path blocked by individuals he had argued with in traffic. One of the suspects, Muzaffer T., severely wounded Eren Peker with multiple stab wounds. Peker lost his life at the hospital where he was taken. Following the incident, police teams apprehended the suspects Muzaffer T. (27), Muammer B. (34), Dilek K. (36), and Mikail K. (19).
The murder suspect Muzaffer T., who was learned to have 12 prior criminal records, and the other 3 suspects were referred to the Konya Courthouse. The suspects were arrested by the court they were brought before and sent to prison.
