It has been revealed that 44 rooms were built illegally at the 5-star hotel in Antalya owned by Kilit Grup, which received an award in 2017 for 'providing employment to Turkish tourism' at the Employment Council and Employment Mobilization Award Ceremony, organized in partnership with the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB).
The award was presented to Kilit Grup by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
According to a report by İsmail Arı from Birgün, the illegal construction at the five-star Crystal Centro Hotel, built by Kilit Grup, was included in the 2023 audit report prepared by the Court of Accounts for the Aksu Municipality in Antalya.
The report stated that although it was reported on September 9, 2023, that 44 rooms had been created on the top floor of the Crystal Centro Hotel in the Kemerağzı neighborhood in violation of zoning regulations, the municipality failed to take any action.
The report explained that the illegal rooms in question were identified during an inspection by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, that this situation was reported to the municipality on September 9, 2023, and that a demolition order should have been issued within 30 days, yet the municipality took no action whatsoever.
