AFAD reported that a 5.6 magnitude earthquake occurred in the Sulusaray district of Tokat at 18:11.
The earthquake was felt in Samsun, Yozgat, Nevşehir, and many other provinces.
The earthquake, which occurred at a depth of approximately 6 kilometers, caused fear and panic.
No negative incidents have been reported due to the earthquake.
STATEMENT FROM THE MAYOR
Tokat Mayor Eyüp Eroğlu stated that there is no serious situation in the city center and that, according to current information, there has been no loss of life.
EARLIER EARTHQUAKES OF 4.7 AND 4.1 MAGNITUDE ALSO OCCURRED
The Sulusaray district of Tokat, which was shaken by earthquakes of 4.7 and 4.1 magnitude yesterday evening, has now caused citizens to experience moments of fear with a 5.6 magnitude earthquake.

Earthquake Expert Prof. Dr. Şükrü Ersoy made a statement regarding the 5.6 magnitude earthquake in Tokat. Ersoy said the following:
"First of all, I would like to convey my best wishes to the people of the region. We had discussed the earthquake threat in that region.
I had said that this is not on the North Anatolian fault, but that it could create earthquakes up to 6-6.5 on the side branches, and that it would not reach 7.
The previous one was around 9 kilometers. Being close to 5 kilometers, it depends on the building, but it can be felt in some buildings," he said.
