During road safety and control operations carried out yesterday in the Başköy and Badırga neighborhoods of Bursa's Nilüfer district, 5 people who had entered the country illegally were issued administrative fines and handed over to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management.

5 PEOPLE CAUGHT IN 1 DAY

It was determined that two of the individuals caught in Başköy Neighborhood were Syrian nationals and one was an Afghan national, and that they had entered the country illegally; each was fined 14,410 TL.

It was determined that the individuals caught in Badırga Neighborhood were Syrian nationals and had traveled to the province of Bursa without authorization; each was fined 4,055 TL.

The apprehended individuals were handed over to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management.

According to information on the Presidency of Migration Management's website, the deportation process is regulated between articles 52 and 60 in the fourth section, titled "Deportation," of the second part, titled "Foreigners," of the Law on Foreigners and International Protection (YUKK) No. 6458. Furthermore, a deportation decision can only be taken by governorates.

Deportation can be applied for many reasons; however, in accordance with Article 4 of the Law on Foreigners and International Protection No. 6458, which states, "No one within the scope of this Law shall be sent to a place where they would be subjected to torture, inhuman or degrading punishment or treatment, or where their life or freedom would be threatened due to their race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group, or political opinions," the relevant illegal migrants and immigrants cannot be deported.
