51 people detained in organized crime operation across 11 provinces
Dozens of suspects were detained in simultaneous raids conducted in Istanbul and 10 other provinces, targeting four separate organized crime groups operating both domestically and internationally.

Teams from the Istanbul Police Department's Organized Crime Branch conducted a comprehensive investigation under the instructions of the Istanbul and Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices. As a result of efforts supported by intelligence units, the activities of four separate armed criminal organizations, some of whose leaders are based abroad and are subject to Interpol Red Notices, were uncovered.
The investigation determined that the organization members were involved in numerous crimes, including aggravated robbery, extortion, attempted murder, endangering general safety, and property damage. Following the collection of evidence, a decision was made to conduct simultaneous operations at the identified addresses.
A total of 51 suspects were apprehended and detained in raids carried out in Istanbul, as well as in Şanlıurfa, Hatay, Kocaeli, Muş, Van, Elazığ, Adana, İzmir, Antalya, and Bingöl. While the suspects are being interrogated at the police station, it was reported that the investigation is continuing extensively and that further detentions may be made.
Security sources stated that the operation also targeted the international connections of the criminal organizations and that the investigation is continuing under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
