6.5 million foreigners visited Antalya in 6 months

More than 6.5 million foreign tourists arrived in Antalya in the first six months of this year.

Antalya, which hosts the most guests from Russia, Germany, and the United Kingdom, is also seeing an increase in the Ukrainian market this year compared to last year.

WAR CHANGED THE ROUTE IN TOURISM

Hakan Saatçioğlu, President of the Professional Hotel Managers Association, stated that the early booking period could not be utilized to the desired extent due to the attacks by the US and Israel on Iran, but that activity has increased as of July.

Stating that they hosted 6 million 266 thousand 660 foreign tourists in the first 6 months of last year, Saatçioğlu noted that 5 million 697 thousand 136 tourists visited the city in the same period this year.

Stating that the number of foreign visitors to Antalya exceeded 6.5 million as of July 20, Saatçioğlu said, "By the end of this month, this figure will likely be approaching 8 million. We are trending slightly below last year. Our primary market is Russia, as always, which is still at the top. Our second market is Germany, and our third is the United Kingdom. They are followed by Poland, the Netherlands, and Ukraine."

Saatçioğlu said that reservations continue until the end of November.
