60 lawyers were not enough for THY, they turned to Fahrettin Altun's lawyer: CHP figure reveals
CHP Deputy Chairman Ulaş Karasu shared details in a written statement regarding the lawyer of Fahrettin Altun, which emerged during the ordinary general assembly meeting for the 2024 accounts and activities of Turkish Airlines (THY).

Ulaş Karasu stated that "THY, which has 60 lawyers, received legal consultancy services from the lawyer of Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun," and added, "Those who trample on the law for their political interests do not hesitate to engage in lucrative deals to the fullest in the institutions they have turned into their personal fiefdoms."
In his written statement, Karasu noted that the ordinary general assembly meeting for the 2024 accounts and activities of Turkish Airlines was held last month.
Stating that with the decision taken at the Ordinary General Assembly Meeting, the board memberships of Fatmanur Altun and Hüseyin Keskin were terminated, Karasu noted the following:
"Among their replacements, Özkan Yavuz was an AKP mayoral candidate in 2019, and Gülden Nacar served as the AKP Provincial Women's Branch Deputy Chair.
On top of that, THY, which has approximately 60 lawyers, received external legal consultancy services. From whom? From a lawyer named Sezgin Tunç. This person is also the lawyer for Fatmanur and Fahrettin Altun.
Furthermore, THY General Manager Bilal Ekşi's brother, Kemal Ekşi, became the sales manager at THY Kadıköy, and his son, Melih Ekşi, was hired at TCI, a THY subsidiary.
It is clear that those who trample on the law for their political interests do not hesitate to engage in lucrative deals to the fullest in the institutions they have turned into their personal fiefdoms. When the day comes, they will all be held accountable through the judiciary."
