60 percent hike to be applied to IMM nursery fees
The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Council has decided to increase the monthly fee for municipal-run nurseries from 5,000 lira to 8,000 lira, representing a 60 percent hike.

The third session of the IMM Council's July meetings was held at the municipal building in Saraçhane, chaired by the Council's 2nd Deputy Speaker Gencay Özcan.
During the council meeting, the 2026 Fee Schedule item, submitted by the Revenue Branch Directorate of the IMM Department of Financial Services, was discussed.
Upon the proposal of the Child Services Branch Directorate, it was requested that the monthly fee for the nurseries operated by the municipality, known publicly as "Yuvamız İstanbul Children's Activity Centers," be increased from 5,000 lira to 8,000 lira with a 60 percent hike.
The fee hike proposal was approved in the vote held at the council. The increased tariff will be effective starting September 1.
