7 people arrested for preparing an attack on Blok3
As part of investigations conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into organized crime groups, operations were carried out against the Barış Boyun, Gündoğmuş, and Şapkalılar groups. While 7 suspects determined to be linked to the Şapkalılar criminal organization and preparing an attack on Hakan Aydın, known as the rapper Blok3, were arrested, 14 people were detained in operations targeting the Barış Boyun and Gündoğmuş groups.

Within the scope of an investigation conducted by the Organized Crimes Investigation Bureau of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a comprehensive operation was carried out against organized armed criminal groups operating both domestically and abroad. The efforts were conducted to uncover the activities of criminal organizations whose leaders are abroad and some of whom are subject to Interpol red notices.
SIMULTANEOUS OPERATION AGAINST BARIŞ BOYUN AND GÜNDOĞMUŞ GROUPS
As part of the investigation, work was carried out to identify those responsible for the armed attack on a business named Sahra Grup in Fatih on July 11, and the masked individuals who blocked the road and unfurled a banner in Kağıthane Nurtepe on July 22 for the birthday of a criminal organization leader.
A total of 14 suspects were detained in simultaneous operations. It was determined that those detained, Abdullah Deniz, Cafer Çamlıbel, Ozan Yılmaz, Viktor Bekir Mehmet Önat, Mücahit Emre Atasoy, Yakup Gülmez, and Özcan Gülmez, were linked to the Barış Boyun group.
In the operation, Mehmet Bol, Eren Turan, Enes Kincuce, and Cemal İşgören, who are considered to be linked to the Gündoğmuş group, as well as children dragged into crime identified as G.T.S., A.D., and G.M.K., were also apprehended.
PREPARATION FOR AN ATTACK ON BLOK3 DETECTED
In another leg of the investigation, the arson attack on a business named MKR Rent A Car in the Balmumcu neighborhood of Beşiktaş on April 6 was placed under scrutiny.
The fugitive suspect of the incident, Ferhat Kol, was caught in a vehicle in Muğla on July 21. Ahmet Genç, Haticenur Hıdır, Emre Can Yopaç, Tuana Kavraz, Enes Malik Yüce, and Köklen Yoltay were also identified in the vehicles in the area where Kol, who has a finalized prison sentence of 8 years and 8 months, was found. It was learned that one person whose identity has not yet been determined managed to escape.
During searches of the vehicles, 4 unlicensed pistols, 6 magazines, and 86 bullets were seized.
7 SUSPECTS ARRESTED
Examinations of the suspects' mobile phones revealed that they were linked to the criminal organization known as "Şapkalı" (The Hat-Wearers) and were preparing an attack on Hakan Aydın, known by the stage name Blok3.
The 7 suspects caught in Muğla were sent to prison by the Criminal Court of Peace after their procedures at the police station.
It was learned that the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's investigations into organized crime groups are ongoing.
