According to a statement from the Governor's Office, the Provincial Directorate of National Education conducted inspections of private education and rehabilitation centers operating in the city within the scope of Law No. 5580 on Private Education Institutions.
Irregularities were encountered in some institutions during the examinations carried out.
THEY RECEIVED SUPPORT PAYMENTS WITHOUT PROVIDING EDUCATION
In examinations conducted using camera recordings of randomly selected student groups, it was determined that some institutions received support payments from the state despite not providing education.
Provincial Directorate of National Education officials, whose views were included in the statement, noted the following:
"Institutions where irregularities were detected were first fined twice the amount of the fee received. In the event that the same institution committed an irregularity again, a decision was made to close it under Decree Law No. 652. In this direction, 7 private education institutions in our province have been closed indefinitely by the decision of the Governor's Office. Private education and rehabilitation centers carry the responsibility of contributing to the development of individuals in need. We will not turn a blind eye to any institution that engages in irregularities. Our inspections targeting those who violate the right to education and misuse state resources will continue with sensitivity."
