8 injured in collision between semi-truck and minibus

Eight people were injured when a semi-truck and a shuttle minibus carrying workers collided head-on in İznik.

A semi-truck with license plate 06 CKC 118, driven by Fatih K. and traveling on the İznik-Orhangazi highway, collided with a shuttle minibus with license plate 77 ABY 036, driven by İbrahim C., which was coming from the opposite direction near Boyalıca neighborhood.

In the accident, drivers Fatih K. and İbrahim C., as well as workers on the minibus Burak P., Muhammet Y., Murat G., Medine A., Bahadır B., and Sebahat B. were injured.

Upon notification, gendarmerie and 112 Emergency Health teams were dispatched to the scene.

It was learned that the injured, who were taken to İznik State Hospital after initial interventions, are in good health.

Camera footage showed that the accident occurred while the minibus was changing lanes.

It was noted that the song "Bu Akşam Ölürüm" (I Will Die Tonight) was playing in the semi-truck involved in the accident at the time of the incident.
