80-year-old father kills his 52-year-old disabled daughter
In the Ortahisar district of Trabzon, a father who killed his mentally disabled daughter with a handgun committed suicide.

According to the information obtained, relatives of Yaşar Aytekin (80) and his disabled daughter Gülgün Aytekin (52), who lived on the 6th floor of the Gül Apartments in the Toklu neighborhood, entered the home with a locksmith after they were unable to reach them.
Upon entering the home, the relatives found Yaşar Aytekin and his daughter covered in blood and reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center.
Following the report, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. While health teams determined that the father and daughter had lost their lives, police investigations revealed that Yaşar Aytekin had killed his daughter with a handgun before taking his own life by shooting himself in the head with the same weapon.
Following the prosecutor's examination, the bodies of the father and daughter were taken to the Trabzon Forensic Medicine Institute for autopsy procedures.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
