9 people arrested in attack on police checkpoint in Levent

In Istanbul, 1 suspect was killed and 2 suspects were neutralized with injuries during a clash in front of the building housing the Israeli Consulate. It was reported that 2 police officers were also slightly injured in the clash. The number of detainees rose to 17 following the capture of 4 more suspects in the investigation into the attack. Of the 12 suspects referred to the courthouse, 9 were arrested, while 3 were released.

During the armed attack on the police checkpoint on April 7 and the subsequent clash, 2 police officers were slightly injured, 1 suspect was killed, and 2 attackers were neutralized with injuries.

The 2 injured suspects are continuing their treatment in the hospital. Within the scope of the investigation launched after the incident, a total of 10 suspects were detained during operations conducted on the day of the incident and subsequently. It was learned that 1 of the suspects was captured in İzmit, 1 in Konya, and 1 in Kocaeli.

With the capture of 5 more suspects as the work continued, 3 of whom were in Kocaeli, the number of suspects in custody rose to 17. The suspects were referred to the courthouse after health checks.

9 SUSPECTS ARRESTED

Of the 12 suspects referred to the courthouse, 9 were arrested, while 3 were released. While the processing of 3 suspects continues at the police station, 2 suspects are still receiving treatment in the hospital.
